All Fire and Smoke Barriers are powered by reliable, fire-tested motor drive systems. They can be stand-alone, linked to standard alarm interfaces or incorporated into a full monitoring and control system that can and linked with an existing building management system - offering local or remote pro-active, anticipatory service and maintenance monitoring.

Tubular drives contain fully protected internal motors, gear boxes and electromagnetic brakes, all totally self-contained within a strong steel casing within the steel roller mechanism. The unique Coopers electromagnetic brake system is a vital feature. Some low cost systems operate by permanently stalling the motor in the retracted position, dramatically shortening its operational life and increasing the need for costly service and maintenance. Coopers drives never compromise on essential operational functions such as conjoining.
